AUTHORITY® FIRST Herbicide EPA Reg. No. 279-3246 – FMC Corporation Product Description: AUTHORITY® FIRST is a preemergence and postemergence herbicide developed by FMC Corporation for use in soybeans. It delivers broad-spectrum control of tough annual grasses and broadleaf weeds, including key pests such as glyphosate-resistant waterhemp, Palmer amaranth, kochia, marestail, common ragweed, and giant ragweed. Its unique combination of active ingredients provides extended residual activity, helping to protect young soybeans during their most critical early growth stages. Application Timing: Apply AUTHORITY® FIRST preplant or preemergence (before, during, or immediately after planting, but prior to weed or crop emergence) for optimum results. It can also be used in early postemergence applications when weeds are small (typically less than 2 inches tall). Timely application is crucial to achieve maximum effectiveness, particularly against resistant and hard-to-control weed species.
